He's Here

The optomologist appointment went very well. She said its either early trauma or congenital. The haze on his eyes is scar tissue. His eyes ruptured, and the scar tissue sorta helps protect his eyes in a way from re rupturing. He has no light sensativity so IF we were to remove the scar tissue, more than likely he still will not be able to see.He has no pain, no ulcers, no glaucoma. He can keep his eyes! We have an antibiotic to be sure there is no infection, and will give him drops to keep them moist since he sleeps with his eyes open.He came to our house & Bel met him outside. At first she didnt understand how he could ignore he, and in moments she realized he couldnt see her. She proceeded to push past him, shoving up against him etc. Leuc has a loose tooth so his mouth was very bloody (i tried to take the tooth out but its just not that ready yet) and needless to say, my white dog has bloody streaks all over her. She is happy & cant settle.Everyone went potty & came in, where the best place to play is, and so they went to their crates to settle. Since Leuc isnt too good with day or night... I woke him at 5 to eat. They polished off a few lbs of hack n whack ground. We let Leuc out to potty & he explored a bit of the dog yard some more & went to the potty. We brought him in & showed him where the bed is. Ethan sat with leuc and gave him a chew toy. The boys like each other. I let Bel out & BAM play time! Everyone got crated since no one would settle, and they had just eaten. leuc cried for a moment then passed out. Bel was out for a bit but opted for her crate too. At 6 I'll let them out. They can play to their hearts content. Bel is SO happy. Poor thing was beside herself. We think Leuc will fit in just fine Oh and his feet are bigger than Bels & weighs in at 67#
